Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative (HDC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization sustained by donations from our local community. HDC strives to create opportunities for professional dance artists living in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County region to expand their individual voices in their craft. Through live performances, classes, and collaborations with artists in dance and other media, HDC also fosters passionate appreciation for the art-form in the surrounding community.
We currently hold a dance class three times a week, two at a professional level, and one for intermediate dancers. Our classes and performances fill a gap in what has been available to people in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham community in recent years. Many people who had no access to dance in our area can now attend affordable, professional performances, and local adult dancers now have options to continue and advance their training. We believe that dance is for all, and our long-term plans for HDC strive to make that ideal a reality for the entire community.
Your donation will help us cover the costs of space rental for classes and rehearsals, to help compensate our teachers, and to cover the costs of mounting shows. Help us build the performing arts scene in our special corner of the world and make dance accessible to everyone!
