Praxis Stage is excited to present William Shakespeare's CORIOLANUS.
In the stratified, famine-plagued, torn-up-and-on-the-brink society that is the Rome of our play, just as democracy seems about to expand, to appease the demands of the riotous underclass, the trumpets of war blast. In this world of haves and have-nots, the rulers and ruled, perpetual war maintains the status-quo and we watch the rhetorical stoking of the perennially entwined flames of honor and hate threaten to consume all hopes of justice. Thus begins CORIOLANUS and from the fallout and ashes of those early scenes, our play emerges to both vex and entertain, trouble and inspire. Please join us!
