THIS LAND OAKLAND - Bringing the Outside In.
A collection of five multi-media dance pieces inspired by Oakland landscapes.
Featuring live music by gina Breedlove and Melanie DeMore.
Celebrating outdoor Oakland. For Sarah Bush Dance Project's 2015-2016 season, Artistic Director, Sarah Bush brought together Bay Area dancers, musicians and poetry to generate art in an intimate exchange with different outdoor landscapes in Oakland. May 22nd, their season culminates at Laney College's Odell Johnson Theater where Bush and company will use a collage of dance, video, recorded sound, poetry, and live music to take the audience on an experiential tour of these 5 unique environments. These artists invite the audience to join them in looking at our complex and varied relationships to land in the hopes of reinvigorating our desire to explore and care for it. Come together to celebrate the beauty of this place we call home, this land, Oakland.
